Good evening everyone and I hope you find yourselves well. It's late so I will try to make this short as I need some rest. Gotta get over this sinus infection. Despite going to work and chasing the toddler around I managed to get 8 pictures drawn, scanned, cropped, and uploaded. What took the longest, not the drawing that's for sure. I got through #8 - #15. And for some odd reason I skipped over Kakuna and had to go back and do him. Here's the line up for today.

#8 Wartortle
#9 Blastoise
#10 Caterpie
#11 Metapod
#12 Butterfree
#13 Weedle
#14 Kakuna
#15 Beedrill

My favorite today was Blastoise, he's got some cool details and I like the cannons coming out of his shell.
I think Butterfree took the longest cause he's got a lot of dark lines on his wings and I had to go back and erase all the pencil smudges.
The quickest and the most annoying was Weedle. He's sooooo simple it's boring! And I think he kind of looks like a clown, seriously it took me less than 5 minutes to draw him.
I had fun drawing Kakuna too, he looks like he's wearing a tie. :)

Well, I think that's all for today, gonna try and get at least a few done tomorrow but I have a ton to do around the house so we'll see. Have a good night everyone and thanks again! ♥

The journey begins

Well, many years ago (about 13) I accepted a challenge to draw all 150 pokémon. At the time there was only 150, no big deal right? Well I never finished, I don't think I even got halfway. Well I decided I should try to complete my challenge. Why? Because I like to draw and I like pokémon. I strive to finish what I start and I never finished this. Well, some things have changed in 13 years. They've added about 300 new pokémon. I have yet to decide if I will complete the entire pokémon list or just stick to the original 150.

So yesterday I started at #1 and completed through #7. The totals for yesterday are.
#1 Bulbasaur
#2 Ivysaur
#3 Venusaur
#4 Charmander
#5 Carmeleon
#6 Charizard
#7 Squirtle

My favorite to draw yesterday was Charizard, I like the tough lines.
The easiest yesterday was Bulbasaur, he's got a simple structure.
The quickest to draw yesterday was Charmander who has an even simpler design than Bulbasaur but was a little more challenging because of that. I do better on more complicated details.
The longest I think was Venusar because of the detail but I had fun drawing him.

They are all just pencil sketches right now and I have yet to decide if I will leave them that way or if I will ink then or even color them. I suppose I can decide that later. Let's just worry about getting through the 150 first.

Here's what I got done yesterday.
